Jun Chu is a seasoned public policy professional with 15+ years of experience helping companies navigate and resolve complex regulatory, geopolitical, and reputational challenges to achieve business goals. Her expertise spans across regulatory engagement, stakeholder management, geopolitical advisory, strategic campaigns & partnerships, risk mitigation, and corporate philanthropy.
Jun’s most recent role was as Meta’s first APAC policy lead for the Reality Labs, a division with a mission to build the metaverse as the next computing platform. In this role, her focus was on setting and implementing policy strategies to bring Meta’s metaverse vision to life in Asia Pacific. Before joining Meta, Jun served as Twitter’s Head of Public Policy for Greater China, where she was responsible for driving Twitter’s public policy agenda with policy stakeholders during a tumultuous time in U.S.-China relations.
Before her in-house experience in tech, Jun was a government and public affairs consultant in Beijing and Washington D.C., advising companies on regulatory, market entry, and stakeholder engagement strategies in China. Jun received her BA (Honors) in International Relations from Wellesley College and her Masters in International Public Policy from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
