Camino Rojo is a Senior Policy expert based in Madrid, Spain. She has an extensive track record working on issues at the intersection of public policy, technology, country-risk analysis, sustainable tourism and strategy across different roles in government, the private sector and multilateral organizations.
For the past five years, Mrs. Rojo served as the Head of Public Policy for Iberia at Twitter, where she drove political and regulatory engagement in the markets in key issue areas including online safety and security, counter-terrorism, data privacy, tax or disinformation. Most recently, she led regional files like disinformation or DSA implementation. Prior to Twitter, she was a Senior Policy Expert at the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), where she served as a key liaison to the EU and advised member states on market entry and strategy and key regulatory issues. Previously, Mrs. Rojo worked for 10 years (2007-2016) at the Spanish Export Credit Agency, where she helped set policy priorities for country risk and export credit around the globe, and served as a Spanish Government’s representative to the OECD in Country Risk discussions. Mrs. Rojo has appeared before parliamentary committees and discussed key issues lying at the intersection of technology and society in interviews with top tier media.
With postgraduate studies in Leadership from Yale University and UCLA and in Global Affairs from NYU, Mrs. Rojo earned her M.A. in Public Affairs Management from UOC, M.A. in Internationalization from ICEX, and a Bc.S. in Economics from Carlos III University.
